A NEVER-ENDING THANK YOU to all these people in no particular order

To God for making all of these possible. If it weren't for Him, I wouldn't even be here writing this acknowledgment.

To my family who has given me so much love and support that I couldn't ask for anything more.

To Marian Tee for being a very supportive, helpful and amazing friend! If it weren't for your non-stop convincing for me to release my stories and reminders for me to finish them, SFV would still be in the deepest part of my hard drive.

To Liliana Rhodes for always having my back. You're one of the people who had seen how I struggled and there you were, knowing the right words to say to put me back on my feet. Words can't express how grateful I am for your words, for listening to me rant, for being crazy with me, and for simply being there for me.

To Alicia who had been with me since day one. You're the very first person who knew that I was writing. I saw the very first story I wrote and read it again. After reading it, I regretted it. I wanted to die from embarrassment how much it sucks. I remembered how supportive you were. Honestly, you even had more faith in me than I had in myself. Believe me, I appreciate every little thing you've done. You've always been like my sister from another mother.

To Clarise of CT Cover Creations for not only being such a great cover artist but also a great friend. I'm lost for words how you made my dream cover come to life.

  Chapter One

For the past 2 months, all Meahri did was work like crazy. She drowned herself with work and made sure that she wouldn’t have any time to think about her and him. She was hoping it would work but it never did.

To whomever that solution worked, she only has one word for them, “How?” She was getting lesser sleep as day passed by but she never succeeded.

Was it ever possible for that solution to work or she fell too deep for her rockstar that forgetting him wasn’t possible anymore? Whenever she took a break from work, there was never a time that she didn’t thought of Vhynce. How can she forget him?

She can’t forget the pain after he left her without a word but what she can’t forget the most was that once in her lifetime, she was able to spend time with the love of her life. He was the rockstar who belonged to all the girls in the world. He was the rockstar that every girl dreamt of. How can she forget that the same man that every girl wanted once belonged to her?

He was hers once. It was the first and sadly, it was also the last.

Sometimes, she can’t help but wish to go back in time and tell him the truth. At least everything ended before something even started. It was better than starting something with a lie.

She wished she can go back and redo everything but whenever she remembered the times they spent together, she never want to go back again. She was happy. She never felt so happy in her life.

While she was drowning herself with work, Vhynce found himself doing something he never thought he’d ever do.

After he had that phone call with Therry, he realized that he was the one to be blamed. He finally realized that none of this would happen if it weren’t for his own actions. He was the one who kept on insisting when Meahri kept on declining.

Every word that Therry said that night was true.

If only Therry can see him now, he’d mock him and when he thought that he stopped. He’d see those eyes again, the kind of eyes shouting the words ‘I told you’ without uttering a word at all. He realized how stupid he had been.

How can he let four months passed by without doing anything? He wasted four fucking months doing nothing.

When he woke up to reality, he tried every way he knew to reach her. He tried calling her and sending her messages but he wasn’t getting any response. He tried going to her place to see her but the guard didn’t let him in.

He found out that she restricted him from entering the condo. He tried bribing the guard but he didn’t succeed. He even told the guard who he was but all he got was ‘I don’t care who you are. If she doesn’t want to see you then you can’t.’ He just used his fucking rockstar card and all he got was that.

A mere guard just stepped on his fucking pride. If he was his old self, he wouldn’t let the guard see daylight ever again but it won’t make a difference.

With or without pride, Meahri was gone.

He tried asking RMM’s artists to help him but none of them wanted to. Each of them made it clear that they respect him as their CEO but they also respect Meahri. They too created a great relationship with the girl and none of them wanted to ruin it.

He was desperate so he used his power as the CEO to make them talk but he was too late. He found out that since last week, she asked them to drop by her place whenever they need to meet for any projects.

Of course, as someone who was banned from her condo, that was not helpful at all.

He tried asking Therry even though he already knew his answer. He had to try, right? As expected, the man declined. He made it clear that he wouldn’t help him. He still considered him as his brother but when it comes to Meahri, he can’t count on him.

He also tried talking to Thiara but her answer was the same. She loved the girl so much so what did he expect?

When he understood that no one was willing to help him, he went home disappointed. He knew that at times like this, he couldn’t count on anyone but himself. After all, he was the one who turned a wonderful relationship into a painful memory.

He went to his laptop and created a new email. He used it to pretend that he was a client who wanted to work with Meahri. He got a reply from her asking him questions about the project that they would be working on.

It took him a few days before he got another reply from her.

When he was all excited to have the chance to work with her and maybe even see her, he was disappointed once again. She declined his project. Her reason was she was fully booked at the moment and she won’t be able to work on his project. He assured her that he wasn’t in a hurry but her answer
was still the same.

She declined him nicely. She apologised a lot that if she can split herself into two just to take his project, she’d do it.

There was a lot of ‘Sorry’ in the email and every word hits him. They may be talking about work but every time he read the word, he felt that she was begging him to forgive her for lying to him and it hurt him.

He wished he realized all this earlier but four months had been wasted. He lost it and there was no way of turning back time. He wanted to but he was only a fucking rockstar, not a fucking magician. He wished he was but he wasn’t.

He kept on reading her last email. The more he read it the more he felt that it was her. He was talking to Meahri. The more he realized it, the more he missed her and the more he felt like an asshole.

She was such a nice girl. How can he give her so much pain?

For the nth time, he tried calling both her home and mobile phone but he wasn’t getting anything at all. He sent her SMS saying how sorry he was but still nothing. Suddenly, he was having cold sweat.

How if something happened to her? How if someone kidnapped her? The thought made him lose his sanity. He immediately looked for Therry’s name on his phone and called him.

“When was the last time you talked to Meahri?” He sounded anxious.

“Last week, why?” Therry on the other end of the phone replied flatly.

“I tried calling her but she’s not answering. I tried her phone. I even tri—“ He was cut off when Therry started talking.

“Obviously she won’t.” He was mocking him again. He was too busy worrying about Meahri that he didn’t even notice it.

“Can you call her now? I’m just worried. If she answers can you call me back?” He sounded desperate.

The last time Therry talked to her was last week and it’s already the middle of the week. There are a lot of things that can happen in a few days. How if someone did kidnap her but no one knew because she’s always alone in her place? How if she got r—He threw the thought away. He can’t afford to imagine that happening to Meahri.

“This is the last time I’ll be asking for your help. I’m just worried about her. Something doesn’t feel right.” He admitted. He knew that she didn’t want to talk to him. She made that very clear but he needed to make sure that it was the situation and that nothing bad happened to her.

  “Fine.” Therry ended the call.

While he was waiting for Therry to call back, he was having thoughts that make him want to kill himself. He didn’t know what he’d do if he found out that something bad happened to Meahri.

One thing he was sure of. If something bad did happen, he’d make sure that he’d kill the person behind it.

A few minutes went by and Therry called back. It was only a few minutes but for Vhynce, it felt like eternity. His phone hasn’t finished the first ring when he answered it.

“Did you talk to her?” He was more anxious now than he was a few minutes ago.

“Yeah I talked to her. She was busy with work so she wasn’t responding to any messages. She also knew you were the one calling both her home and mobile phone so she wasn’t answering. Just leave her be Vhynce. She’s busy working hard towards her dreams.” His brother sounded like he didn’t care about him anymore. How much of an asshole he actually was?

  “Ok. Thanks Therry.”

This time he was the one who ended the call. He didn’t want to bother Therry any longer so he ended the call as soon as he heard that Meahri was alright. That was the only thing that mattered to him.

At the other end of the line, Therry was surprised. He didn’t expect Vhynce to end the call just like that and he can’t remember when was the last time Vhynce called him Therry instead of bro.

Was he too much? Did he hurt Vhynce too much that he started forgetting that they were brothers? It wasn’t like Vhynce can blame him either, right? He wanted to call back to check but he can’t. Not until he see Vhynce change. He knew it was a big decision for him because the many years of friendship they had was at the end of a cliff.

If he called now, he’d be able to save it but Vhynce may never learn. He may never realize what he had lost. If he don’t, he might think that he forgotten that they’re brothers but he might learn his lesson. It was a hard choice but he chose the latter part. He knew there wasn’t any assurance that doing this will teach his little brother a lesson but despite that, he still did. It was the only way he knew to help Vhynce.

Vhynce went to his room and dropped himself on the bed.

He remembered the time when he was having a great night with Meahri and Therry at his place.

It was the first time he’d seen how peaceful she looked while she was in her sleep. It was the first time he’d realize how beautiful she truly was. She may never be as sexy as the girls you see in man magazines but she was simply beautiful. She was beautiful in her own ways.

  He can’t help but reminisce.

He walked towards the bed and lifted the blanket. He lay down beside her and covered himself with it. He pushed his hand between her neck and the pillow as he pulled her closer to him.

When he turned her around to face him, he found himself in shock when her arm went around him. The small touch on his back made him shiver and it scared him. It was something he never felt before.

He thought that maybe, just maybe, it was just his libido getting the better of him. He too put his other arm around her, touching the little of her back.

He stayed there, not doing anything. He wanted to but he can’t. He can’t take advantage of her especially with those eyes filled with so much innocence that he was sure he didn’t have even when he was still a kid.

He stared at her face. He traced it, not with his hands but with his eyes. He had only known her for a few weeks now but he never had the chance to look at her this close.

He never knew she had such long eyelashes. He could see the hint of her panda eyes. Instead of it being a turn off, he loved it. He knew it was the result of her hard work, the result of her sleepless nights as she drew her way in to her dreams.

Her nose, it was smaller than he remembered when he first saw her entered his office. He should have found it another turn off but instead he found it cute. Her imperfection made her real and he loved every bit of it.

Her lips were pale pink. Seeing those sexy curves of her lips, he wanted to taste them. He’d bet everything he has that it would taste so good that he’d never let them leave his lips until she was dying for air.

Just when he was about to touch the strand of hair on her face, he saw her wet her lips.

Fuck! This girl is too dangerous for me. Now, it wasn’t only his libido who was wild here, so was his thoughts.

He can’t help it. He had to do it. He can’t stop himself any longer. He stole a kiss from her. The moment his lips touched hers, he never wanted to ever let go.

She taste so good, so fucking good. He wanted to explore more but he knew he was taking advantage of her. It took all his strength to let go and leave those soft lips.

Just a second after he let go, she snuggled closer to him.

Is this girl really sleeping!? His breathing was hard but that wasn’t the only thing that was hard right now. The more ragged his breathing was, the more he inhaled her scent and it wasn’t making him lose the very last bit of control inside him.

Needing to find control, he pulled her closer to him and put his arm around her. He made sure that there was no space between them and he didn’t care if she’d feel him or not. He didn’t even care anymore if she wakes up either.

Right now, none of those mattered.

He hoped that being close to her would be enough for now. It was weird. For other people, he should’ve done the exact opposite of what he was doing but he wasn’t. It might look like he was digging his own grave but for him, being close to her seemed to satisfy him in ways he can’t understand.

He didn’t want to understand it. He didn’t need to. All he wanted and needed was the s
atisfaction he felt whenever she was around him.

The more he reminisced about the time they spent together, the more he realized how much he had lost.

He pulled himself up to reach for the bedside table. He opened the drawer and took a paper inside it. It was the same note that Meahri left that night. He never knew he’d keep the note but he did. He took it and read it again.

Fuck! I really miss her! He cursed.

There was no denying it. He missed her. A. Fucking. Lot.

It has been four months. Four. Fucking. Months. And he made damn sure that there was no more time that will go to waste. He finally accepted the fact that there was no point in trying the normal way, it was time for him to do it the rockstar way.

He smiled as he imagined Meahri smiling at him at the end of his plan. He needed to make his plan work. It was his last option and if after this, he won’t still get her back, he didn’t know what else would.

That day, all he did was made sure that his plan would not only be 100% success but 1000% success.

It took him the whole day to make and polish his plan. When he was sure that it would be a success, he sent a text message to everyone from RMM, Ryan, Peter and the staff that he worked with during his rockstar days.

He called for an emergency meeting.

  Chapter Two

The next day, everyone showed up at RMM’s building.

When Vhynce opened the door at the meeting room, there were a lot of people than he expected. His RMM family was complete. Ryan and Peter were present too. Some of the staffs he worked with came as well.
